I study how organizations confront grand challenges. Working at the intersection of behavioral strategy and sustainable development, my research asks why some firms learn and adapt while others fall behind — and how business can help address inequality, health, and community well-being.
My current projects examine stewardship in the care economy: how governance and management shape the quality of care in hospitals and nursing homes.
My work appears in the Academy of Management Journal, Organization Science, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Management, and Journal of Management Studies, among other leading outlets. I welcome conversations with prospective doctoral students, collaborators, and journalists.
